Miyoko’s Founder Helps Rescue Dog from South Korean Meat Trade

September 27, 2020 By Staff Writer Leave a Comment

There is a meat trade in Korea that uses dogs for the meat trade to slaughter. They even go as far as using the dogs to birth puppies for them to use for slaughter, and once they get all the puppies they can, they end up slaughtering the dog. A dog was rescued from the meat trade recently and flown to San Francisco and the puppies were eventually rescued from the meat trade as well by a dog rescue founder.

Key Takeaways:

  • There was a dog that was used to birth puppies and was to be slaughtered afterwards.
  • Being introduced to the rescue helped them to find people who would adopt these animals into a loving home.
  • After a bit of effort from the rescue, the puppies were also rescued from the meat trade.

“Koru and her adoptive parents then completed the 600-mile journey by driving from San Francisco to their home in Portland, OR.”
